No, you do not need to be a current member of a Fernwood gym to do the 12 Week Challenge – anyone is welcome – although, you may like to make use of our additional in-club services to boost your results!
The 12 Week Challenge starts Monday February 19 and finishes Sunday May 13, 2018 and runs for a total of 12 weeks. Unfortunately, as this is a set program we will not be able to accept any late sign ups after February 19.
Users will not have the option to purchase a 12-week trial membership along with the online program, however we will provide a 14-day free pass with each online purchase so those who are non-members can take this into club.
(Note: For maximum results and support we recommend you ask your local Fernwood club about Flexi membership options).
This year, there will be two ways to purchase the 12 Week Challenge.
Non-members: You can purchase the online program component online with a one-off upfront payment of $299 (paid via credit or debit card through our PayWay system). Upon purchase, you will also receive a complimentary 14-day trial membership which can be activated at your local Fernwood club.
Members: If you are a current member, you can purchase the base program at your local Fernwood club for $299 and upgrade to include additional packages. Training packages include Personal Training, Food Coaching and more (packages and costs vary by club).
Yes, a 12 Week Challenge journal and challenge pack will be couriered to your nominated address within 7 days of purchase.
No, your online account is available to use for all Fernwood online programs. All you need to do to sign up to the 12 Week Challenge is log in to your online account, click here to purchase and you’re good to go! If you purchase the program in club, you’ll be given a unique voucher code to redeem online.
If you’re setting up a Flexi membership in club to accompany your 12 Week Challenge online program, you can request your end date to finish when the program ends. However, what we have found is that members will often see such great results that they generally want to continue using their membership after the challenge has ended. For this reason, it’s always best to keep your flexi membership as ongoing and you can cancel it at any time by simply notifying your home club.
(Note: Two weeks’ notice must be given to cancel Flexi membership)
Yes, if you do decide to join as a Flexi member for the duration of the challenge, there is a fee to join the club; however, you won’t have to pay a cancellation fee if you decide to cancel the membership after the program is complete.
To be eligible, the major prize winner of the 12 Week Challenge in 2018 will need to participate both in-club and online and must meet the criteria in our prize terms and conditions here.
While you won’t be eligible for the major prizes, you will be eligible for minor prizes. You can find the full list of the terms and conditions here.

Absolutely! The 12 Week Challenge is recommended for all – regardless of your fitness level. The challenge has specifically been designed to help women (and men) feel fresh, fit and free – it’s the ultimate program for anyone wanting to change their mind, body and nutrition.
If you are an online member we will be asking you to exercise five days per week, with two rest days, and some days will be easier than others. This is a guide we set for best results. Allocate around 35-60 minutes on each of the five days for exercise.
If you are a member in-club we will also be encouraging you to follow the workout plan as advised in the program. For those clients undertaking Personal Training for the 12 weeks, we would simply encourage you to substitute one workout a week in exchange for your training session. The team in club will be able to best advise you.
In 2018, we have brand new meal plans which are available in standard and vegetarian and can be selected when configuring your program.
Your daily meal plan will consist of three main meals and two snacks per day adding up to 1200 calories or 5000 kilojoules. In no time at all you’ll be feeling fantastic and you’ll learn that this is a really healthy and sustainable way to live. Please note that currently our meal plans do not cater for any additional dietary requirements.
Once your payment has been processed you’ll receive an email automatically confirming the details of your purchase - this is your tax invoice.
We do not offer refunds for a change of mind. If, however, there are extenuating circumstances or medical reasons that prevent you from undertaking the program, we will consider a one-off cancellation. Please contact us in writing regarding this by submitting a request in our Help Centre. We assess each cancellation and refund on a case by case basis. If a cancellation is granted, you will no longer have access to the online program.
If you are also a member in-club, your inability to continue participation in the challenge should be noted in writing and forwarded to your home club. On confirmation of your cancellation, your home club will endeavour to cease further payments for this challenge immediately. If you have paid for your challenge in full, please note that this fee is not refundable.
If you are unable to continue the 12 Week Challenge due to a medical reason you are required to provide your home club with medical certification. Any sessions you have paid for but not used will be refunded in full.
